The air Strength of Japanese self-defence (JASDF) received their first Boeing 777-300ER in Basel-Mulhouse, the cabin of the aircraft is going to be completely fitted out by Jet Aviation during the next few months.

This aircraft, the first one of two copies of the same type ordered by the JASDF within the framework of the replacement of two 747-400 governmental, which are custom for the country, arrived on the airport platform of New Chitose (Hokkaido) on August 17th.

The commercial airport of Sapporo is indeed neighbouring to the air base of Chitose which accommodates Special Air Transport Body, in charge of the operations of the Japanese devices VVIP.

Both aircraft had been ordered with Boeing in 2014. The second 777-300ER of the JASDF is expected for delivery in December. Their operations will be putting the aircraft into scheduled service for 2019.
