For generations, the James Bond films have been a staple of the festive season, offering viewers a familiar mix of glamour, danger and luxurious locations. In 2026, fans will have the chance to move beyond the sofa and into Bond’s world, with London Stansted Airport expanding direct links to many of the franchise’s most famous European filming locations.

New destinations in 2026

Stansted already connects travellers to several destinations that have doubled as backdrops for 007 adventures. From Vienna’s historic Prater Ferris wheel, memorably featured in The Living Daylights, to the snow-covered Alpine village of Obertilliach, where Spectre staged a dramatic mountain chase. The airport’s route map will grow further in 2026, opening new opportunities for film-inspired travel.

From March, easyJet will launch direct services to Paris, allowing visitors to stand beneath the Eiffel Tower, the site of Grace Jones’ daring leap in A View to a Kill, and explore the Château de Chantilly, which appeared in the same film. Turkish Airlines is also set to increase Stansted’s reach, introducing up to 15 weekly flights to Istanbul, a city central to From Russia With Love and later revisited in The World Is Not Enough.

Italy remains one of Bond’s most frequently used settings, with destinations such as Matera, Rome, Venice and Lake Como all within easy reach via daily flights. Elsewhere, Norway’s Atlantic Road, Switzerland’s Furka Pass and Monte Carlo’s iconic casino continue to draw fans keen to see where some of the franchise’s most memorable action sequences were filmed.

London Stansted’s Connection to James Bond

London Stansted itself has its own place in Bond history. The airport appeared on screen in Tomorrow Never Dies, where Q unveiled Bond’s gadget-filled BMW inside one of its hangars, meaning a Bond-themed journey can begin before travellers even leave the terminal.

With airlines including Ryanair, Jet2, easyJet, Pegasus, AJet and Turkish Airlines offering frequent services, Stansted is positioning itself as a convenient gateway for travellers looking to blend cinema nostalgia with European city breaks. As Bond prepares for his next chapter on screen, his past adventures are proving to be powerful inspiration for travel in the year ahead.
