German low-cost carrier Eurowings will add two new routes from London Gatwick Airport (LGW) this summer. In a bid to boost connectivity between London and Germany, the airline is launching flights to Stuttgart (STR) and Cologne (CGN), with multiple weekly services.

Multiple weekly services from London Gatwick
Eurowings is a low-cost carrier and part of the Lufthansa Group. In a bid to improve low-cost connectivity to Germany amid Gatwick’s growing links to the country, the airline has announced two new routes.
Eurowings will operate 13 flights per week to Cologne starting March 29, 2026. From April 13, 2026, it will operate six weekly flights to Stuttgart. Ticket booking for these routes is already live.
Reinald Frankewitz, Eurowings’ head of network relations, said:
“We are excited to expand our network in the UK and connect London Gatwick with two of Germany’s strongest cultural and economic regions.”
The airline announced last month a host of new additions to its schedule for the summer. It had launched new direct connections from German and other European bases with a significant increase in frequencies on high-demand routes. Overall, the airline operates flights to 150 destinations in 40 countries.
Gatwick has also been boosting its German connectivity. Most recently. Condor secured slots to operate three daily flights to Frankfurt (FRA) from April.
Jonny Macneal, head of the aviation development at London Gatwick, said:
“These new services reflect the strong demand we’re seeing for European connectivity and underscore London Gatwick’s position as the UK’s most well-connected airport, offering more than 230 destinations this summer.”

Gatwick adds new routes this summer
As Macneal mentioned, the airport will be adding over 230 routes in the summer as it continues to expand its airline portfolio.
Most recently, UK-based airline Jet2 announced that it will begin flying from London Gatwick from March with 29 routes. Air France is also set to launch a twice-daily service to Paris the same month.
Animawings will begin daily flights to Bucharest, while SWISS will increase frequency to Zurich from daily to twice daily.
