Are you thinking of exploring more places around the continent of Africa? Worry not, Etihad Airways is set to double its African destinations by 2025, reinforcing its commitment to the continent. Currently, the airline serves Johannesburg, Cairo, Mahe, and Casablanca. Starting December 15, 2024, flights to Nairobi, Kenya, will resume, followed by new routes to Tunis, Tunisia; Algiers, Algeria; and Al Alamein, Egypt in 2025.

There will be increased frequencies of travel to these destinations from August 4, 2025, Johannesburg and Casablanca will shift to daily services. Etihad’s weekly African flights will rise from 39 to 57, ensuring more options for travelers. This expansion aligns with the airline’s mission to enhance connectivity between Africa and its global hub in Abu Dhabi.

Seamless Travel Through Codeshare Partnerships

Etihad maximizes travel convenience with codeshare and interline partnerships, including Airlink South Africa, Royal Air Maroc, and EgyptAir. These alliances provide travelers with expanded routes and smoother connections across Africa.

Sustainable Growth Strategy

Etihad’s African expansion aligns with its broader global growth strategy. By 2030, the airline aims to introduce at least 10 new destinations annually, including more in Africa. Etihad’s focus on sustainability remains central, with investments in fuel-efficient aircraft and industry-leading environmental initiatives.

Etihad offers world-class service, extensive connectivity, and eco-friendly practices, making it a top choice for travellers. Etihad had a triple victory at the awards held in Funchal, Madeira on 24 November. It secured recognition for being the World’s Leading Airline for Customer Experience, as well as for having the World’s Leading Economy Class and the World’s Leading First-Class Airline Lounge. So, whether flying for business or leisure, Etihad ensures a seamless and comfortable journey.
