Etihad Airways has introduced major digital updates to their website and mobile app, making the travel experience simpler and more personalized for its global customers. The enhancements include local payment options, improved self-service tools, and expanded loyalty program features designed to meet the needs of travelers in key markets such as India and Europe.

According to RadarBox, Etihad operated 1,245 flights in October 2024, a 15% increase compared to the same month in 2023. The airline’s busiest routes were between Abu Dhabi and London Heathrow and Abu Dhabi and New York, with an impressive average load factor of 85%. These numbers reflect the growing demand for Etihad’s services and the airline’s strong recovery post-pandemic.

Improved Booking Experience Through Etihad Airways Digital Platforms

Etihad Airways offers customers digitally updated platforms with an intuitive experience. Guests can now search fares using a calendar-based tool, modify bookings with ease, and redeem Etihad Guest miles for flights or upgrades. Local payment options have been introduced in key regions, making transactions quicker and more accessible.

Indian customers, have benefited from tailored features such as Hindi language support. Locally preferred payment options, and an innovative fare calendar to find the best deals. However, these market-specific enhancements demonstrate Etihad’s commitment to delivering localized services.

Future Growth Digital Services

Etihad Airways’ digital updates aim to simplify the check-in process and deliver more accurate travel notifications.

“Our focus on digital innovation allows us to deliver updates that directly benefit our passengers and keep us competitive,” said Frank Meyer, chief digital officer.

Etihad’s strong digital infrastructure has enabled the airline to release over 160 platform enhancements this year, with four updates rolled out weekly. These improvements, coupled with rising online sales, are producing a more enhanced travel experience.
