Emirates is celebrating 15 years of operational access to Geneva. Emirates launched its flight to the city on June 1, 2011, and has transported over 3.4 million passengers between Dubai and Geneva. The airline’s success include over 15,000 return flights which connects customers through Dubai across Emirates’ global network of destinations.

Strong demand for the flight route
The flight route is typified by demands for Emirates’ more expensive cabin. In 2025, the average seat factor peaked in First Class at 74 per cent and Business Class at 86 per cent.
To meet high levels of customer demand, Emirates has invested in the passenger experience for passengers from Geneva. The airline operates a refurbished Boeing 777 on the this route. This includes new Business Class cabin in a 1-2-1 layout and Premium Economy Class cabin in a four-class configuration. To meet the airline’s commitment to continuous improvement, Geneva was the first destination within Emirates’ global network to be adapted with a revamped four-class Boeing 777 in August 2024.
With the first Emirates Travel Store opened in central Geneva in May 2025, Emirates has expanded its physical retail space within Switzerland. This store offers tailored travel advice for discerning customers.
Emirates’ relationship with Switzerland moves beyond flights and also applies to the company’s recruitment policy. As of 31 August 2026, 97 Swiss nationals work within the Emirates Group, which demonstrates the airline’s global focus.

Dubai-Geneva flight route strengthens global connectivity
Emirates operates two daily flights between Dubai and Geneva, which allows travellers from Western Switzerland and nearby areas with strong connections to travel between Australia, Asia and the Middle East.
Dubai is the most in-demand destination for Emirates passengers departing from Geneva, followed by Bangkok, Bali, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Manila, Mauritius and Singapore.
