Embraer is set to place its commercial aircraft portfolio firmly in the spotlight at Wings India 2026, as the Brazilian aerospace manufacturer prepares to display two of its most advanced regional jets E195-E2 and E175 at the Hyderabad event beginning January 28.

E195-E2 Highlights Efficiency and Sustainability
As India’s aviation sector expands rapidly beyond major metros, Embraer is positioning its aircraft as right-sized solutions for airlines looking to connect secondary and tertiary cities efficiently.
Taking centre stage in a static display, the E195-E2 is billed as the world’s quietest and most fuel-efficient aircraft in its category. Designed as a small narrowbody jet, it builds on the success of the original E-Jets while introducing advanced aerodynamics, a new wing design and next-generation technologies.
These improvements deliver a 29% reduction in fuel burn and carbon emissions per seat compared with the previous generation. With typical single-class seating for 132 to 146 passengers, the aircraft is tailored for high-demand regional routes that fall below the capacity of larger narrowbody jets.
Embraer expects the Indian market alone to require around 500 aircraft in the 80–146 seat range over the next two decades. The E2 family is certified to operate with up to 50% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and has already demonstrated engine operability with 100% SAF, reinforcing the manufacturer’s sustainability ambitions.

Proven E175 Targets Regional Growth
Also on display will be the E175, a familiar and trusted platform in regional aviation. Already operating in India with Star Air, the aircraft offers seating for up to 88 passengers and is widely recognised for its reliability and operating economics.
Globally, the E175 dominates the regional market, accounting for around 80% of regional jet operations in the United States. Recent upgrades to avionics, cabin interiors and passenger comfort have further aligned the aircraft with the standards set by the newer E2 family.

Long-Term Commitment to Indian Aviation
Speaking about the E-Jet programme, Embraer’s Regional Vice President, Sales, Adity Shekhar said:
“Embraer’s E-Jet programme is one of the most successful in the industry. The E-Jets family can transform and grow regional connectivity from tier two and tier three cities in India, tapping on ‘blue ocean’ opportunities.”
Currently, nearly 50 Embraer aircraft operate in India across civil, business and defence roles. Beyond commercial aviation, Embraer is also proposing the C-390 Millennium transport aircraft to the Indian Air Force under a potential Make in India partnership.
As the Aviation Innovation Partner for Wings India 2026, Embraer will showcase its full range of products and services at Booth 9B, Hall B, highlighting solutions aligned with India’s connectivity and sustainability goals.
