Delta Air Lines will launch two new nonstop routes from Boston to Venice and from Detroit to Athens in 2027. As the company expands its route network from the United States to Europe, it will also extend several seasonal services.

Delta Adds New Boston-Venice and Detroit-Athens Routes
Starting from May 7, 2027, there will be four weekly flights between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE). This seasonal route will continue to operate until Oct. 29 and will be operated using an Airbus A330-300 aircraft, equipped with Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort and Delta Main.
During the summer tourist season, Venice will become Delta’s 13th unique long-haul destination from Boston and its 12th destination in continental Europe. At the same time, Boston will become Delta’s third U.S. gateway to Venice, and its Boston-to-Milan route will increase to daily service in 2027.
The route between Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) and Athens International Airport (ATH) will start operating on June 8, 2027. This route will use an Airbus A330-200 aircraft and operate three times a week until Oct. 28, becoming the first nonstop service connecting Detroit and Athens.

Delta Will Extend Its 2027 European Schedule
These two routes will be combined with the previously announced daily service from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). The Austin-to-Paris route will be launched on March 27, 2027, using an Airbus A330-900neo aircraft.
In addition, several existing European routes will also extend their operating seasons in 2027. Seasonal service from Minneapolis-St. Paul and Detroit to Rome will start in early March, and the Seattle-to-Rome route will begin operating in April.
The routes from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Catania, Porto, Prague and Copenhagen will return earlier in the season. At the same time, the Boston-to-Barcelona, Seattle-to-Barcelona and Atlanta-to-Edinburgh routes will return earlier.
The routes from Detroit to Rome and New York-JFK to Copenhagen will resume daily operations. Delta will also continue its three-times-weekly Cincinnati-to-Paris service from January through March.
