Germain airline Condor and Etihad Airways have announced a strategic partnership to launch daily nonstop flights from Germany to Abu Dhabi in 2026. Operated under a codeshare agreement, the Frankfurt–Abu Dhabi service will begin May 1 using Airbus A330 aircraft, followed by Berlin–Abu Dhabi flights starting June 15 with Airbus A320s.
Flying on these new routes means passengers can use a single ticket for connecting flights across destinations in the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
Codeshare Agreement Overview
The new routes are part of a broader collaboration between Condor and Etihad Airways; together, they aim to strengthen connectivity between Germany and the UAE.
Under the codeshare agreement, Condor-operated flights will carry Etihad flight numbers, while select Etihad services will display Condor codes. Condor’s chief revenue officer, Arik De stated:
“adding Berlin alongside new Frankfurt options meet clear passenger demand, including a direct capital-to-capital link that further strengthens UAE-Germany ties.”
On top of this, the partnership makes schedules easier to follow, simplifies travel with through-checked baggage and overall provides smoother transfers for passengers at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Travel Made Simpler
For Condor, the new Abu Dhabi routes mark a major step into the Middle East, expanding beyond its traditional leisure markets, including its existing daily-flight from Berlin–Dubai. Beyond the Middle East, Condor travelers can now enjoy ease of access to Etihad’s wider network, with destinations ranging from Japan, the Maldives, South Africa and Australia.
This expansion builds on Condor’s plans to launch a 3X-daily service between Frankfurt and London Gatwick on April 1.
In turn, Etihad strengthens Germany as a key European hub, where it already operates 2X-daily flights between Frankfurt–Abu Dhabi. However, Berlin represents a strategic route, with growing demand from its technology, tourism, education, and business sectors supporting nonstop flights to and from the city.
