CentrAir has attained the ACA Level 4 Certification (Transformation), a programme created by the Airports Council International (ACI).
CentrAir was recognised for its long-term reduction objectives for 2050 and its strategies to detect and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from airport operations such as airport facilities and cars.
CentrAir Zero Carbon 2050
CentrAir announced the ‘CentrAir Zero Carbon 2050’ in 2021 and is making the necessary efforts to lessen its environmental impact. The airline aims to cut greenhouse gas emissions by more than 46% compared to fiscal 2013 by fiscal 2030 and to attain zero carbon by fiscal 2050.
About Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA)
Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) was established by the Airport Council International (ACI) and is the only institutionally recognised third-party certification programme.
Airport carbon management certification programme on a worldwide scale. It independently evaluates and commends airports’ efforts to control and lower their carbon emissions through six levels of certification.
CentrAir ACA Level 4 Certification
Following its accreditation, the Chubu CentrAir International Airport Decarbonization Promotion Council, composed of airport-related operators, will keep working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to attain zero carbon by utilising the ACA programme.
In Japan, Narita International Airport achieved Level 3 and Kansai Airport (Kansai International Airport, Osaka International Airport and Kobe Airport) achieved Level 4.
