Hong Kong-based airline, Cathay Pacific, has returned to the South Australian capital with seasonal non-stop return flights. These seasonal flights are operating three times a week through to 27 March 2026, connecting Hong Kong with the South Australian capital, Adelaide.

Connecting Asia and Australia
The first flight took off without issue from Hong Kong International Airport just before midnight yesterday (11 November) and arrived in Adelaide before half ten this morning.
Cathay Pacific’s new service reestablishes an important direct connection between these two vibrant and culturally diverse cities, supporting enhanced travel, trade and further links Asia and Australia.
Cathay Chief Customer and Commercial Officer Lavinia Lau said:

Cathay Pacific now flies to six destinations in Australia, namely Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. Together with its flights to Auckland and Christchurch in New Zealand, the airline is operating close to 100 return flights per week to Oceania during the winter season.
