Providing a Menu Dedicated to Ramadan

Emirati-inspired dishes are being added to Etihad’s in-flight and airport lounge menu. Ingredients are used to craft these dishes to serve Etihad Airways‘ passengers before and during the flight.

Indulging menu items such as marinated lobster, saloona and Arabic coffee tiramisu are included for those dining in Zayed International’s lounges. This will all be served throughout the entire month of Ramadan.

Etihad Airways’ Director of Product and Hospitality, Turky Al Hammadi, commented on the newly crafted menus:

“Each year, Ramadan gifts us the opportunity to share beloved traditions and flavours inspired by the Emirati hospitality we embody, bringing a sense of community to our guests around the world. This Ramadan, we’ve aligned with the UAE’s Year of Community to reflect the importance of connection and togetherness, values that resonate deeply during this blessed month.

He continues:

“We are honoured to offer our guests an exclusive and thoughtful experience this Ramadan. Etihad Airways understands the significance of this sacred time, and our carefully curated Ramadan menus are designed to provide comfort, tradition, and elevate our Food and Beverage experience. From the moment our guests arrive at the airport to the moment they disembark, we strive to elevate their journey with delicious meals that reflect the spirit of Ramadan, ensuring a memorable and fulfilling experience at every altitude.”

Celebrating Ramadan by Watching Programmes In-Flight

Passengers flying with Etihad can become engrossed with the wide selection of programmes and other religious content. These options are designed to provide education related to Ramadan while celebrating its diversity.

Entertainment options include a cookery programme that provides further education regarding dishes related to Ramadan. It can even inspire Etihad’s passengers to try to cook for themselves when they have time.

Celebrating While Donating to a Good Cause

An announcement was released from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, confirming that 2025 shall be a year of community. Therefore, he has confirmed that donations will be made to UNHCR to support the construction of three new Refugee settlements.

The airline’s passengers have also been encouraged to donate a segment of their Guest Miles to this cause, promoting this year of community as much as possible.
