Cathay Pacific announces a rollout of on-board Wi-Fi services from First Class Passengers to all Cathay Gold members, with further rollouts to follow later this year. This marks another step forward in their elevated in-flight offerings.

Increased Flight Connectivity as Rollout Continues

Following their summer promise of 100% in-flight entertainment and Wi-Fi connection, the airline announced in October their rollout of in-flight Wi-Fi services, expanding from First Class passengers to all Cathay Gold Members.

Erica Peng, Cathay’s Director of Customer Travel, sees this as their commitment to elevating the travel experience of their customers:

“At Cathay Pacific, we recognise how important it is for our passengers to stay connected in the air, whether they are travelling for business or leisure. With the extension of our complimentary Wi-Fi service, we are continuing to further refine the travel experience for our valued passengers.”

The offer for Cathay Gold members is scheduled to roll out from 15 November, and is planned to extend to all Cathay members travelling in Premium Economy by the end of this year.

Elevated In-flight Offerings

Cathay Pacific is one of the first airlines to promise 100% in-flight entertainment and internet connection across all aircraft in their fleet.

In-flight internet connection is a new trend in in-flight services across leading global airlines. Besides Cathay, Qatar Airways is also partnering with Skylink to provide high-speed internet connections on its flights.

In an increasingly technical age, staying online is an inseparable part of travellers’ daily lives. Cathay’s new rollout of in-flight connectivity for its loyalty club members shows its dedication to leading regional and global standards of top-tier airline service.
