Binter Canarias has announced a new route between Gran Canaria Airport and Logroño Airport, expanding its network in northern Spain. The service will begin on June 17, 2026, and is part of the airline’s recent network expansion, including a newly confirmed route to Vitoria-Gasteiz.

Twice-weekly summer schedule

The route will operate twice weekly during the summer season, with flights on Wednesdays and Sundays.

On Wednesdays, flights depart from Gran Canaria at 08:15 a.m., with return services departing from Logroño at 12:55 p.m. On Sundays, flights depart Gran Canaria at 8:35 a.m. and Logroño at 14:00 p.m.

Flight time is expected to be approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes, depending on routing and weather conditions.

The service adds a direct link between the Canary Islands and La Rioja, a region with limited nonstop connectivity.

Free inter-island connections included

Passengers will be able to connect to or from any Canary Island at no additional cost using Binter Canarias’s inter-island network, which operates more than 220 daily flights.

This allows for through itineraries across the archipelago with no additional cost.

Flights will be operated by the Embraer E195-E2, configured in a 2-2 layout without middle seats.

Standard fares include a snack service and a hand luggage allowance. The airline also offers optional products such as its “Discover” stopover programme and AirPass Explorer fares, which allow additional inter-island travel within a single booking.

The route forms part of Binter Canarias’s ongoing expansion in mainland Spain, with additional capacity introduced ahead of the summer season.
