Hong Kong-based airline Cathay Pacific announced a membership programme update, featuring seamless progression and better benefits for members across different tiers.

Enhanced Programme with Elevated Experience

Commencing the start of 2027, the Cathay membership will deliver a more simplified programme with elevated offerings and seamless progression aross differnt tiers.

The programme features 4 tiers, including Green, Silver, Gold and Diamond status, offering varied benefits for members at different tiers.

With the new programme, the member’s status points would not be reset to zero upon a membership status upgrade, allowing the member to climb up the status ladder seamlessly. The reset period is also unified to every calendar year to offer consistent timeframes.

In the programme upgrade, they introduced a new status ‘Diamond Exec’ above ‘Diamond’ for members who accumulate at least 2,400 status points per calendar year.

Cathay: Dedication to Service Excellence

Over the years, Cathay Pacific has shown dedication to perfecting the services it offers to its members and passengers alike, with the membership programme being one of its key offerings.

Vivian Lo, Cathay’s Director of Customer Lifestyle, sees the updated membership programme as a step further to improving what the airline has on offer:

“We are evolving the Cathay membership programme with our current and future members in mind, offering them a smoother, simpler and better membership experience. By simplifying the path to higher status and providing greater flexibility for members in new ways, members can look forward to progressing with greater ease and enjoying a more rewarding journey that truly elevates their lives.”

The airline has also announced extended in-flight Wi-Fi services to different Gold members across all cabins earlier this month.
