Avelo Airlines has launched four new domestic routes from its new base of operations at Hartford’s Bradley International Airport (BDL). Next week, Avelo Airlines will add three more additional routes.

 New routes

Avelo Airlines is dedicated to expanding its routes and networks in Connecticut to make flying more reliable and convenient. Coming into the busy holiday season, the airline plans to add new domestic routes, more planes, and new destinations.

Avelo Airlines Founder and CEO Andrew Levy said:

“Avelo is proud to be Connecticut’s airline. Our customers tell us they love flying Avelo, and we’re excited to make flying Avelo even more convenient for travellers across the state.”

The new nonstop routes announced are to Charlotte/Concord (USA), Wilmington (ILM), Daytona Beach (DAB) and Orlando / Lakeland (LAL). The fares are affordable starting at $56 for a one-way ticket. Boeing’s new generation 737 aircraft will operate the routes.

Avelo will add more routes next week, including a new domestic flight to Houston, Texas (HOU). Avelo has also scheduled its first international flights to Cancun, Mexico (CUN), and Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ).

The airline’s expansion into Hartford’s Bradley International Airport demonstrates its investment in the Connecticut region. The airline has positioned two aircraft in Hartford as a start, with more to come as they establish dual operations. The new expansion will enable the airline to increase air service across Connecticut.

Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont said

“The addition of Avelo Airlines at Bradley will only increase this airport’s reputation as one of the most convenient airports in the northeast.”

Avelo Airlines

Launched in April 2021, Avelo Airlines is one of the youngest US airlines and has already seen great success, reaching many milestones.

The airline aims to inspire travellers by allowing them to save money and time. They offer low fares and a convenient travel experience, flying to 49 popular destinations across the United States and two international ones.

In October, Avelo Airlines ranked #1 in on-time performance with 90.5% of its flights arriving at their destinations within 15 minutes of their scheduled arrival time. It also achieved the lowest flight cancellation rate of 2024. The airline has been ranked as the most reliable US airline outperforming other airlines including Delta and United Airlines, which ranked #2 and #3 respectively.

Avelo Airlines Founder and CEO Andrew Levy commented

“As we enter the busy holiday season, Avelo continues to stand out as America’s most reliable airline. This holiday, our customers can count on Avelo to get them where they want to go more reliably than any other airline.”

What do you think about the new routes? Where should they fly next?
