ATR Delivers New Startup Airline First Aircraft

New startup airline company, airHaifa, has received its first ATR aircraft; The popular ATR 72-600. The startup originating from Israel will start flight operations from summer of 2024. The airline known as airHaifa which is headquartered in Haifa, Israel, will operate international as well as domestic routes to the middle east and more. The airline has described itself as being a low cost airlines connecting passengers all over the world.

Popularity of the ATR 72-600

The popular regional aircraft or also known as the ATR 72-600 has become a favorite in recent years. The startup airlines ahs also placed orders for the ATR 72-600 aimid its great features and reliability. The airline has ordered two of the ATR 72-600s with one being delivered in July while the second one aimed to being delivered in 2025. ATR aircrafts have become a pillar in the regional operations realm due to its reliability, low cost operations, low fuel emissions and the foremost, passenger comfort. The aircraft comes with the newest PW127XT-M engine which offers sustainability as well as reliability. In recent years, ATR have has received major deals and orders for aircrafts, specially the 72-600. The most recent being that of the enhancement of AIr Tahiti fleet.

Speaking on the partnership of ATR and regional airlines, the CEO of ATR Nathalie Tarnaud Laude, expresses gratitude for the airline on the partnership with ATR:

This new order from airHaifa for two ATR 72-600, with one delivered today and the second scheduled for delivery in 2025, marks an important milestone in our efforts to enhance regional connectivity worldwide

While the CEO of airHaifa, he highlighted the company’s goal for sustainability as well as regional connectivity:

We focus on sustainable development, passenger satisfaction, and regional connectivity; by building our fleet around the ATR 72-600 aircraft, we will continue to actively contribute to our region’s economic prosperity and provide our customers with affordable, reliable, convenient and socially responsible means of transport
