American Airlines Recognises Outstanding Fundraising Commitments

Going above and beyond with their dedication to raising money in both U.S currency and Foreign currency, nine flight attendants in the company have been recognised as ‘Champions of The Year’ by the airline for their outstanding fundraising efforts.

Collection money from donating customers, and Hawaii flights, the airline and passengers have raised over $18million since UNICEF’s program launch in 1994. These efforts have provided children in need with healthcare, safety, education and more.

The program partners UNICEF and the aviation industry with several airlines funding children in need. The campaign works by converting unused currency from customers around the world and transforms coins and notes into life-saving materials.
