Airbus June 2018 orders & deliveries

The month in Review.

Airbus saw an extremely busy month this June. With Turkish Airlines booking 25 A350-900. Furthermore 10 A350-900s were ordered by an undisclosed client. Both new customers for the A350 XWB.

Secondly two transactions for the A330. In addition 10 new engine option (NEO) A330-900s for an undisclosed customer. A further two A330-200s acquired by International Airlines Group (IAG).

Greek Flag Carrier Aegean Airlines became a new customer for the A320neo booking an order for 20 A320neo versions and 10 A321neo. Another undisclosed client ordered 20 A320neo, another new customer for the A320neo. To complete the month Germany’s flag carrier Lufthansa ordered three A320ceo. (Current engine option)

80 deliveries where made to 41 customers a record month for Airbus, led by 67 single-aisle A320 Family aircraft (of which 41 were A320neo/A321neo versions). Furthermore eight A350 XWBs were provided. Airbus has a production target of 10 A350 XWBs per month by year-end 2018. Customers receiving their A350XWBs are Cathay Pacific, which took delivery of its first A350-1000. Spain’s Iberia, with an initial A350-900 (the first for an operator in the International Airlines Group).

Completing Airbus’ widebody deliveries in June were three A330-200s/A330-300s, along with two A380s.

In the first half of 2018 net orders logged by Airbus totalled 206. As of 30 June, Airbus’ overall backlog of aircraft remaining to be delivered stood at 7,168 aircraft, representing approximately nine years of production at current rates.

In conclusion a summary until 30th June 2018 Airbus has 261 orders broken down into, 177 Single Aisle aircraft, 14 A330’s, 50 A350’s & 20 A380’s

In regards to deliveries as of 30th June 2018 303 aircraft have been delivered to customers. Broken down into 239 single aisle aircraft, 18 A330’s, 40 A350’s & 6 A380’s
