Sun PhuQuoc Airways have partnered with Minar Travels as the general sales agent (GSA) in India. This will strengthen the connectivity between Vietnam and India, and will boost tourism to the Phu Quoc Island.

This airline is a Vietnamese “resort airline” that was founded by Sun Group. Based in Hanoi, it focuses on leisure travel with a premium experience, utilising Airbus A321 aircraft.
It initially operated domestic flights connecting Phu Quoc to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang. However, it has plans to expand to include international routes to South Korea, Japan, China, and Southeast Asia.
Founded in January 2025, the airline received its Air Operator’s Certificate in September 2025 and launched its inaugural commercial flight on November 1, 2025 in order to connect major cities to Phu Quoc Island. It is also the first airline in Vietnam to be named after its destination.

The partnership and benefits
Minar Travels (India) Pvt. Ltd., founded in 1992 and led by Mr. Harvinder Singh Duggal, is a premier, globally recognised travel, tourism and aviation management group. Shallin Magoo, senior vice president of aviation & airline relations at Minar Travels, said that the company will focus on optimising the distribution system and expanding market coverage.
With Minar Travels handling sales operations in India, Sun PhuQuoc Airways aims to provide Indian travellers with greater access to Vietnam. Therefore, travelling to Phu Quoc will become a lot more accessible and Indian tourists will have better opportunities to visit.
Through this partnership, Minar Travels becomes responsible for many roles, including: managing flight sales and improving customer service. This ensures smoother bookings and a more seamless travel. This partnership is also expected to to enhance trade between Vietnam and India, as it will be easier for business travel.
