Air Canada is helping young talent take off. Canada’s flag carrier recently showcased its commitment to the future of Canadian tourism at the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) Congress. As Canada’s top employer for young people, the airline is recognised for its educational programs and community initiatives. In keeping with its commitment to cultivating young talent in the tourism industry, Air Canada recognised future leaders at an exclusive luncheon last week.

Recognising Future Leaders

As part of last week’s Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) Congress, Air Canada representatives hosted a special luncheon. The Future Leaders Luncheon was hosted by David Rheault, Air Canada’s Vice President of Government and Community Relations. Serving as an important platform to honor emerging talent in the tourism sector, the luncheon was an opportunity to celebrate the recipients of the Air Canada Future Leaders Award.

During the Luncheon, Rheault congratulated the four recipients and expressed pride in their achievements, stating,

We need strong leaders today and tomorrow. Other people count on you to keep promoting Canada here and around the world. It’s natural for Air Canada to support this event and the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC), given our valued and strong relationships with tourism partners across the country and the important role we play as Canada’s flag and global carrier.

Commitment to Community Relations

Air Canada’s involvement in events like the TIAC Congress aligns with its Community Relations goal. The goal promotes a bilingual, inclusive, sustainable, and prosperous Canada for future generations.  In keeping with this communal ethos, the airline strategically invests in important initiatives across aviation, tourism, and cultural sectors. Through its many initiatives, Air Canada has emphasised a commitment to creating socio-economic advantages for Canadians. Advocating for the vital role of tourism in Canada’s economic landscape, the airline supports numerous events throughout the year.

In addition to its sponsorship of TIAC, Air Canada has engaged in other prominent events, including its role as the Official Airline for the One Young World Summit.
