Emirates has introduced a new signature airport lounge concept that will be rolled out across key destinations worldwide throughout 2026, beginning with newly redesigned lounges in Munich and Frankfurt. The airline said the next-generation lounges form part of its continued investment in premium ground services, with more than AED 50 million allocated to each location. Manchester, Mauritius and Istanbul are among the next airports scheduled to receive the updated lounge design later this year.

Emirates invests in premium lounge experience
The new lounge concept is inspired by the airline’s latest cabin interiors and features dedicated areas for dining, working, relaxing and socialising. More than 50 design enhancements have been introduced, including wireless charging, additional private workspaces, upgraded shower suites, wellness facilities and quiet zones for passengers on longer layovers.
Dining has also been expanded with live cooking stations, locally inspired menus and dedicated barista and mixologist services. Emirates said the lounges will continue to offer premium beverages, while new “Made In” food stations will showcase regional cuisine at each destination.
The redesigned lounges also include prayer rooms, private meeting spaces and family-friendly facilities such as breastfeeding rooms.

Global rollout continues throughout 2026
Munich (MUC) and Frankfurt (FRA) are the first airports to introduce the new lounge concept, with Manchester expected to follow in July, Mauritius in August and Istanbul in October.
According to Emirates, the latest design will serve as the blueprint for future lounge developments across its global network, supporting the airline’s wider strategy of enhancing the customer experience beyond the onboard journey.
The airline currently operates one of the world’s largest airport lounge networks, with dedicated premium lounges available across numerous international destinations.
