Qatar Airways is strengthening its presence in Saudi Arabia with a major network expansion that includes a new route to Hail and increased flight frequencies to Jeddah and Riyadh. The move reflects the airline’s commitment to improving regional connectivity and supporting the growing demand for travel to and from the Kingdom.

Connecting More of the Kingdom

Starting 5 January 2026, Qatar Airways will operate three weekly flights between Doha’s Hamad International Airport and Hail International Airport, marking Hail as the airline’s 13th destination in Saudi Arabia.

The new Hail service is part of Qatar Airways’ broader strategy to enhance accessibility across Saudi Arabia. In addition to the launch, the airline will boost its flights to Jeddah and Riyadh from six to seven per day, offering travellers more flexibility and convenient connection times.

The expansion brings Qatar Airways’ total Saudi operations to over 150 weekly flights, reinforcing Doha’s position as a key global hub linking the Kingdom to more than 170 international destinations.

Strengthening Regional and Global Links

The expanded services aim to support Saudi Arabia’s growing business and leisure travel sectors, aligning with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals to enhance tourism and international connectivity. Qatar Airways’ increased presence highlights its role as a key partner in the region’s aviation development, offering travellers a wider choice of routes and seamless transit through its award-winning Hamad International Airport hub.

Qatar Airways Group CEO, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, said:

“At Qatar Airways, we are proud to see our presence continually grow in both scale and significance across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Our network now spans every major region of the Kingdom, and over the past 12 months, we have connected nearly 2.5 million passengers in the Kingdom to our global network. This a reflection of the level of trust travellers in Saudi Arabia place in our airline and the excellence of our services across the Saudi market.”
