American Airlines has announced it will resume flights from New York to Tel Aviv, Israel, starting March 28 2026, and tickets have gone on sale as of Monday, October 27 2025.
Return to Israel After Two Years
The non-stop service between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport returns after a two-year suspension following the attacks of October 7 2023, that sparked the Gaza conflict.
American Airlines will be the fifth company re-establishing services between the U.S. and Israel; others include Delta, United, El Al, and Arkia. American Airlines has already begun hiring Hebrew-speaking cabin crew in preparation for its resumption of the route.
The service will run daily and use a wide-body Boeing 777-200 aircraft.
Growing Travel Confidence in the Middle East
With routes returning to Israel and growing expansions made to Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport earlier this year, the country’s tourism prospects are sure to rebound after a turbulent few years of uncertainty.
Israel’s Transportation Minister Miri Regev said in August:
Israel is open to the world.
Our national airport is ready to meet every challenge.
