Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has secured a major order from multinational Chilean airline LATAM Airlines for 24 E195-E2 small narrowbody regional jets, in a deal worth roughly $2.1 billion. The contract also includes a purchase option for an additional 50 aircraft, bringing the total up to 74.
Deliveries for the confirmed order are set to begin in 2026, with LATAM Airlines Brazil to receive the first units and other branches of the airline to follow after.

Domestic and Regional Growth
This deal reflects LATAM’s continued investment in its expansion into both domestic and regional markets. Over the last four years, LATAM has expanded its reach from 129 to 160 destinations.
According to Roberto Alvo, CEO of LATAM Airlines Group,
Enhancing connectivity through the opening of new destinations, allowing our passengers to have even more options and bringing communities closer, also boosting economic and social development.

The E195-E2
The E195-E2 will join LATAM’s fleet of 362 aircraft, made up of 283 Airbus narrow-bodies, 3 Airbus wide-bodies under short-term lease, 56 Boeing wide-bodies, and 20 Boeing freighters.
Embraer says the aircraft offers competitive seat costs, a 2-2 cabin configuration and a 30% lower fuel consumption per seat than earlier models.

This LATAM order adds to Embraer’s growing list of deals it has secured over the course of this year, supplying aircraft to the likes of Avelo Airlines, Luxair, Airlink and Azorra. Reinforcing Embraer’s presence in South America and providing regional expansion for airlines like LATAM.
