LOT’s long-standing partnership with Embraer

Polish flag carrier LOT Airlines was the pioneering operator of Embraer E-Jets in 2004. With the inaugural revenue flight taking off from Poland to Vienna on March 17, 2004, this 85-minute flight served as the catalyst for Embraer’s success. Notably, the 1800th E-Jet, an E195-E2, was delivered to a customer in May of this year.

Aiming at enhancing operational flexibility and network expansion, the airline has decided to lease three E195 -E2 from Arroza this year. This acquisition will allow LOT to offer a more comfortable flight experience to passengers with no middle seats. Indeed, it will meet the needs of the airline which is witnessing a network expansion.

Furthermore, Embraer is proud of this partnership and its progress over the years. Indeed, Arjan Meijer, CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation said :

We are pleased to welcome our partner LOT for their 20- year partnership, since the first E170. We are delighted to have rapidly delievered the jets and satisfied our clients. We eagerly anticipate our partnership with LOT and discovering possibilities for E2.

The E195 -E2 and LOT Eco Project

The Embraer E2 is an advanced regional jet that offers exceptional performance and efficiency. The E195-E2 typically accommodates between 120 and 146 passengers in a two-class configuration, with a maximum capacity of up to 146 in an all-economy layout. The E2 features a modern cabin with larger windows, enhanced lighting, and quieter operation, ensuring a more comfortable passenger experience. It achieves up to 25% better fuel efficiency compared to its predecessor, the E1, and meets stringent noise and emissions standards.

The acquisition of E195-E2 comes following the LOT Airlines Eco Project.  The airline is dedicated to environmental protection through the ” DESTINATION Eco Project “. For instance, passengers can offset their carbon footprint when purchasing tickets. As a result, the airline has obtained several certifications for eco-friendly activities.
