Recently, HiFi has made news with the beginning of operations with it’s Airbus A380 aircraft, however mid afternoon on Friday 7th September, an airbridge hit engine 2 of the aircraft at Paris Charles de Gaules Airport resulting in the cancellation of Air Austral flight #UU978 from Paris to La Reunion island so the airline could accommodate passengers who were unable to fly with HiFi.
Passengers were automatically re-booked on Air Austral flights by Saturday, 8 September causing disruption to Austral flights to La Reunion island, Johannesburg and Seychelles.
