American Airlines recently announced the launch of premium amenity kits for more than 300 international and transcontinental flights this summer. The luxury kits will be showcasing various designers and brands and authentic and sustainable materials.

The American Airlines premium amenity kits catering to more than 300 international and transcontinental flights will start on Memorial Day(27th of May) on the weekend in Flagship First Class, Flagship Business Class, and Premium Economy cabins.
The primary amenity kits will be available year-round for anyone in premium cabins. In the kit, travellers can find some travel essentials: toothbrushes, eye masks, dental kits, earplugs, and selected skin care products.
It is very common for airlines to partner with different brands in their amenity kits to elevate the passenger onboard experience. In 2022, Qatar Airways successfully partnered with Diptyque, a luxury French Fragrance brand. In this new onboard experience of amenity kits, American Airlines is collaborating with beauty retailer Thirteen Lune, aiming to bring skincare offerings in the amenity kit for the passengers and highlighting various founders and voices such as Joanna Vargas and Relevant.
Some of the kits are limited-edition as the airline collaborates with several USA designers and brands.
Kim Cisek, America’s vice president of customer experience, expressed his enthusiasm by stating:
We thoughtfully curate each element of the onboard experience so every customer can look forward to the time they spend in flight. Part of the magic of travel is connecting our customers to the people and experiences that matter most to them. We are taking that concept to the skies by introducing a new, dynamic onboard program inspired by feedback from our customers and team members.
Additional Bedding Experience
American Airlines is also improving the comfort of travellers with new fantastic options by introducing new bedding, pillows, and sleepwear. It has been designed as a brand-new dual-sided pillow for First and Flagship Business Classes. It features cool fabric on one side and normal fabric. Flagship First Class passengers that fly on international flights will also have pyjamas on their disposition.
New amenity kits will also be presented to business-class customers on international flights. They will receive slippers during their flight for a most restful experience. American Airlines has also partnered with John Horsfall. This textile company helps all cabins, including premium economy and the main cabin, with new bedding options: lumbar pillows, throw blankets, premium duvets, and blankets using recycled materials from Re Thread collections.
The airlines always consider customers’ needs. In research with customers, travellers shared that 75% prefer dual-sided pillows with distinct materials on each side of the pillow. The latest bedding amenities showcase the airline’s commitment to following the customer’s travel standards.
