On May 15, Zenith Aviation, a UK company, entered into administration. A firm specialising in insolvency and restructuring processes, Nexus Corporate Solutions, has been appointed administrator.

Zenith Aviation Evaluates Future after Administration Announcement

Paul Hargreave of Nexus Corporate Solutions stated to the Herald:

“The company is in an insolvent position due to cash flow issues, unpaid debtors and historic management issues. A total of 41 jobs had been lost. Hargreaves said Zenith Aviation’s position and options are now being evaluated.”

The development of this administration follows the company’s acquisition by OPUL Jets in April 2025. Opul Jets took over the company, its air operator’s certificate (AOC), and managed its fleets. On Dec. 24, Opul Jets ceased control of Zenith Aviation which followed the appointment of Touseef Tariq.

Zenith Aviation Aircraft Suspension Following Operational Uncertainty

A spokesperson from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) had told ch-aviation that Zenith Aviation AOC has been suspended. The certificate compromised two aircraft, including a 2004-built, Learjet 40 aircraft. As well as a 2016 Learjet 75. The Learjet 40 entered Zenith Aviation AOC in September and had remained active till Oct. 27.

Zenith Aviation furthermore owns a 2001-built, Learjet 45, that was added to Zenith’s fleet in mid-2025 but never entered service. Another 2001 built, Learjet 45 was operated in late 2013 and September 2025. The aircraft joined the fleet in March 2026 and entered service in late April.

The latest setback comes from the the continuous balancing fleet management costs and the fluctuating demand within the post pandemic recovery period.
