The Air Canada Foundation hosted its 13th annual golf tournament at Club de golf Le Mirage in Terrebonne, Quebec. The event successfully raised a total of $1.3 million, which will help to make a meaningful difference for children and youths across Canada.

Air Canada Foundation’s 13th Annual Golf Tournament
The Air Canada Foundation has commendably raised $1.3 million at the organisation’s 13th annual golf tournament, which is regularly the Foundation’s largest fundraiser. The funds will be distributed through the Air Canada Foundation’s annual grants programme which provides community support to children and youth across the country.
This year, the event welcomed 296 guests and over 90 sponsors in Quebec, including corporate partners, suppliers, and vendors. Long-term partner, the Dr. Clown Foundation were present to interact with guests all the while sharing the meaningful impact of their therapeutic clown programmes in hospitals and Indigneous communities. HEROS Hockey – who use hockey to empower youths and teach them life skills – were also on site to run a lemonade stand which raised over $12,000; and Air Canada’s Autism Aviation Days was featured in an interactive game that helped to raise $15,000 for local autism organisations.
The Air Canada Foundation has previously worked with HEROS Hockey and the National Hockey League to sponsor flights for young ice hockey fans. Lucky ice hockey lovers who were selected for the Fan Flight programme enjoyed free airfare, accommodation, tickets to their chosen game and morning skate, and a meet-and-greet with their preferred team’s head coach – embodying the programme’s values of community, resilience and passion.
Michael Rousseau – President and Chief Executive Officer at Air Canada – has commented on the success of this year’s golf tournament and the mission of the Foundation:
“Each year, I look forward to this day with great anticipation. That is because apart from being an opportunity to meet old friends, make new ones and enjoy a round of golf — it’s about coming together to support children and youth across Canada. This tournament is a testament to the power of unity and how, when we rally together, we can create meaningful change and bring joy to deserving families and communities. I thank all those who participate in this great event and support it in so many ways to make this day a success every year.”
Echoing this sentiment, Priscille LeBlanc – Chair of the Air Canada Foundation – has said:
“Once again we celebrate the remarkable generosity of Air Canada’s partners and friends. A heartfelt thank you to all of them and also to our volunteers for their support in helping us make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families. Their ongoing commitment attests what we can achieve working together towards a shared mission.”

About Air Canada and Air Canada Foundation
Air Canada is Canada’s largest airline and the country’s flag-carrier. The airline is also a founding member of Star Alliance – the world’s first and largest airline aliance. With a proven commitment to global connectivity, Air Canada offers flights to over 180 destinations across six continents.
Launched in 2012, Air Canada Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that supports the health and wellbeing of children and youths. It offers financial and in-kind support to registered charities in Canada – including the Hospital Transportation Program which provides sick children access to medical care away from home – alongside international humanitarian relief activity as needed.
The airline and the Foundation work together to fundraise, enhancing the support they can offer to local communities and organisations. This is best demonstrated by the Every Bit Counts programme, where customers can donate loose change on-board flights or at collection containers at Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges.
