Ryanair announces 100% digital boarding passes beginning Nov. 2025 meaning physical paper copies will no longer be accepted upon departure.

Ryanair announces paperless move for future boarding
Physical paper copies, meaning those that have been printed by passengers at home, will no longer be accepted upon departure with Ryanair from Nov. 12 2026.
Digital boarding passes will be the only way customers can travel seamlessly with the airline following their bold move for a paperless future.
During check-in, boarding passes will be generated via the airline’s dedicated travel app ‘myRyanair’ where live tracking updates, boarding passes, and more are accessible for passengers.
Once generated, Ryanair confirmed that boarding passes will be available to download, making travel modern, and paperless for convenient and easy travel.
CMO, Dara Brady, said:
“To ensure a seamless transition to 100% digital boarding passes for our customers, we will make the switch from Wed Nov 12th, which is traditionally a slightly quieter time for travel following the busy mid-term break period. Ryanair’s move to 100% digital boarding passes will mean a faster, smarter, and greener travel experience for our customers, streamlined through our best-in-class “myRyanair” app, where passengers will also benefit from helpful in-app features, like Order to Seat and live flight information.”
