Qatar Airways renews its long-standing partnership with Al Sadd Sports Club, one of the most iconic and celebrated teams in Qatar.

Renewed partnership

Qatar Airways stated that the new agreement with the sports club reinforces its commitment to advancing sports in Qatar, supporting the country’s homegrown talent, while contributing to Qatar’s National Vision 2030. Through the collaboration, the airline intends to inspire communities and connect people, while displaying Qatar’s leadership on local and regional stages. The airline intends to continue supporting the club as the partnership has been active since 2018. According to Qatar Airways, the partnership plays an active role in enhancing the sporting landscape in the country, engaging fans across Qatar with the sport and the Qatar Stars League. 

Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, chief executive officer of Qatar Airways, stated that the renewed agreement reflects the airline’s shared commitment to excellence, community, and the nurturing of future generations. Al-Meer added that the airline will continue to support the growing legacy of Qatar as a global sports hub. Turki Al-Ali, chief executive officer of Al Sadd Sports Club, expressed his delight with the renewed agreement and looks forward to achieving more success and accomplishments with the airline.

About Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways is an airline in the Middle East with over 170 destinations worldwide. It was founded in November 1993, and its main hub is located in Doha at Hamad International Airport. The airline has won several awards, some of which include the World’s Best Airline award at the 2025 World Airline Awards for an unprecedented ninth time. 

The airline was named World’s Best Airline in 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2024 and now 2025. Its airport, Hamad International Airport, has won the Best Airport in the Middle East award for 11 consecutive years, including the World Best Airport Shopping award for the third year in a row, voted by Skytrax.
