The Plaza Premium Group (PPG) has officially unveiled a new redesign of their Premium Lounge in Dammam at King Fahd International Airport (DMM). The move comes as part of the investment by Plaza Premium Group into the hospitality and tourism industry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), whose plans to expand are being put into effect.

The Lounge Redesign

First opened in 2018, the Premium Lounge has welcomed international travellers with its fine dining aesthetics and self check kiosks, and there have been plans by the Saudi Kingdom to expand hospitality and tourism as part of their Vision 2030 proposal with help from Plaza Premium Group who have invested approximately $100 Million to meet rising passenger quantities.

In a statement by Mohammed A. Alhassany, CEO of Dammam Airports, he made no secret about the plans for development in the Middle East:

Together, we are creating a more seamless, welcoming experience for business, leisure, and family travellers alike.”

The Vision 2030 proposal outlines an aviation expansion target of 19.3 Million passengers but hope to project close to 32 Million by 2030.
