Indonesia AirAsia has announced that they will be increasing their flight services from Adelaide to Bali, going from four times a week to daily flights. This will take effect from March 22nd. This service will use the A320-200 aircraft that seats 180 passengers.

Bali’s popularity in Australia

Bali has become a popular holiday destination for Australians. First starting this service in June 2025, it has proved to be popular. Adelaide Airport reported that there had been 1.17 million passenger arrivals in 2025, further reporting on a 32% increase in the number of international inbound seats.

Captain Achmad Sadikin Abdurachman, Acting President Director of Indonesia AirAsia said,

“This added capacity provides more choice, better value and greater flexibility for South Australians looking to holiday in Bali or connect onwards through our extensive network or more than 130 destinations.”

By increasing the service, more than 56,000 visitor seats will be created per year through Adelaide Airport.

Branching further in Asia

It will also prove to be useful for South Australians to access the rest of Asia. Alicia Bickmore, Adelaide Airport Executive General Manager, Corporate and General Counsel said,

“This service increase makes it easier for South Australians to travel to Bali, and to connect to Indonesia AirAsia’s formidable network throughout Southeast Asia and beyond including from Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Korea, Japan and India.  Adelaide Airport currently run 12 airlines, soon to be 13 as China Eastern will commence its service between Adelaide and Shanghai mid-2026.”
