On Thursday night, during its “Welcome Onboard” event at Kettner’s Soho House, Global Airlines announced a partnership with American Express (referred to as Amex in the UK) to enhance the customer experience and offer additional benefits. The event was attended by 200 guests, including national media representatives, investors, aviation, and brand partners.

Amex Cardmembers: Airline’s New Partnership 2023 Agreement Benefits
Under the agreement, the two companies will process payments together and offer exclusive discounts to cardholders. Although the announcement did not provide specific details, these influential companies will offer loyal customers perks, rewards, and services that will strengthen their relationship with them.
Passengers booking with Global Airlines will also have the option to use American Express’s award-winning Pay with Bank Transfer service. This service allows consumers to make secure and efficient payments directly from their bank accounts.
In anticipation of the first flight in 2024, Global Airlines and American Express will collaborate on customized offers for Amex Cardmembers. These offers will encompass not only flights but also exclusive fly-drive deals, hotel stays, and restaurant reservations, leading to an enhanced travel experience for customers.
Additionally, Amex Cardmembers will be granted priority access to reserve seats on Global Airlines’ inaugural transatlantic flight between London Gatwick Airport (LGW) and New York John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK).
Global Airlines’ CEO and founder, James Asquith, commented on the new partnership:
“I’m delighted to announce our latest major partnership with one of the world’s leading brands. Teaming up with American Express to provide its Cardmembers with exclusive offers and promotions and the chance to join us on some of our very first flights, alongside delivering a best-in-class payments experience, is a really important step for the airline.
“Both Global Airlines and Amex are united by a desire to offer the best possible customer service and experience, and I can’t wait to encourage as many of its Cardmembers as possible to go Global when flying transatlantic.”

Taking off A380
Global will operate two transatlantic routes. The airline has now made it possible for American Express Card holders to purchase flights on board its A380 in all three cabin types: First, Business, and Economy aiming to attract business travellers with its newly designed and renovated A380 cabins. Also, after launching in 2023, the UK-based long-haul airline will begin transatlantic service in the spring of 2024 with four Airbus A380 aircraft. Initially, the airline will operate between London Gatwick and New York JFK, and Los Angeles will be added to its route network in the future.
Travellers worldwide will benefit from Global Airlines‘ partnership with American Express. These industry leaders will improve their customers’ travel experiences by aligning their resources and services. By offering exclusive benefits, integrating rewards programs, or introducing additional discounts, this collaboration sets the stage for a new era of value and convenience.
