Markus Hahner background

Hahner joins Deutsche Aircraft from Leonardo Germany, where he has served since 2017 in a senior business development capacity. He has been a key player in securing major defence contracts, one of which included a multinational cooperation project valued at €100 million, where he played a key role in business development and stakeholder engagement. Hahner holds a degree in political science from Philipps University Marburg. Additionally, he has completed advanced training in public affairs, defence procurement, and organisational management.

According to the company, he is valuable in building strong relationships with key stakeholders across the German Ministry of Defence and international partners. In his previous roles, he held leadership positions at the German MoD’s in-house consultancy and a German drone company serving German forces, supporting the development of unmanned aerial systems and improvements in defence operational processes. Anastasija Visnakova, vice president of sales and marketing at Deutsche Aircraft, welcomed Hahner while highlighting the unique leadership qualities he brings to the company. She said:
