Lufthansa Airlines introduces a new premium service for collecting and transporting luggage to Frankfurt Airport in cooperation with the technology provider Airportr.

The Ideal Hassle-Free Travel

With the addition of this premium baggage collecting and check-in system, currently available to passengers leaving Frankfurt, Lufthansa Airlines has elevated passenger comfort to new heights. This new innovative partnership with technology provider Airportr, aims to simplify the travel experience by offering home or hotel luggage pick-up and check-in.

With the help of this new service, travellers can now have their bags transported to Lufthansa Airport securely. Besides transporting luggage, passengers can also check their luggage in without having to carry it. With features such as a personalised tracking links and a digital luggage tag receipt, including real-time updates, passengers can also securely track their luggage along the way. This new service ultimately helps travellers to eliminate the hassle of carrying heavy luggage, as their luggage will head straight to the passenger’s destination.

This service can be particularly appealing to travellers who use public transport when travelling to Frankfurt Airport, ensuring a smooth travel experience.

With prices starting from €25, passengers can book this service on Lufthansa’s website 36 hours before departure. This new service is available for travellers in Mannheim, Heidelberg, Hanau, Wiesbaden, and greater Frankfurt area. Prices vary based on location and pick-up time.

Mix of Sustainability and Technology

Previously, Lufthansa partnered with Apple to integrate AirTag into luggage handling operations. With this new premium service for passengers, Lufthansa Airlines aims to increase sustainability. This premium service aligns with Lufthansa’s sustainability goals, reducing travel stress for passengers. Lufthansa intends to expand this innovative service to more locations as demand grows. The airlne’s status as a global leader in premium air travel is being reinforced by a customer-centric approach and modern technology.
