Dutch Airline KLM have just announced that they are launching a direct flight to Jersey from their hub, Amsterdam Schiphol, enabling Dutch holidaymakers to travel to the biggest channel Island.

What does this mean?

This expansion also allows travellers from other destinations on KLM’s network of over 160 destinations around the globe to visit the Channel Islands via a layover in Amsterdam, potentially boosting tourism for the small UK-governed Islands, and provides direct access to the Dutch capital for Jersey residents.

Flights are expected to operate using the KLM Cityhopper fleet, which are primarily made up of Embraer 175 and 190 aircraft, with both economy and European style Business class for passengers to choose from.

When will this come into action?

Travel is expected to start on the 4th April 2026 with a weekly Saturday flight. Daily services are expected to  between 4th July and 30th August.

This comes after KLM announced that they would also be expanding their summer destinations, with two new routes to Spain: Santiago de Compostela and Oviedo. This has also added to their newest Autumn routes to Katowice, Poland and Bridgetown, Barbados, both of which launched in October.
