Istanbul Airport

Istanbul Airport (Turkish: İstanbul Havalimanı) is one of the world’s busiest and largest aviation hubs, serving over 84 million passengers in 2025 and acting as the main hub for Turkish Airlines.

It is located in Arnavutköy on the European side, the airport features a massive 1.4 million square meter terminal and connects to over 330 destinations worldwide.

The airport currently handles 90 million passengers annually, with final phases aimed at 200 million, and operates five runways, with more planned.

It is recognised for accessibility with the Sunflower Lanyard scheme and the Air Traffic Control tower is shaped like a tulip, the symbol of Istanbul.

What is Jetex?

Jetex is a leading global company that specialises in private aviation. It offers comprehensive trip support, aircraft fuelling, ground handling, and luxury Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) services. It is headquartered in Dubai, and it caters to private jet owners, and corporate operators with a network of over 38 locations worldwide.

Jetex founder and CEO, Adel Mardini, stated:

“We are thrilled to expand our global network with the launch of Jetex Istanbul alongside our valued partner iGA,”

Mardini added that the city is a multicultural hub where thousands of years of history and culture blend with youthful, dynamic energy:

“We have put tremendous effort into crafting an experience for both private jet and commercial airline travelers, and we look forward to welcoming the world here with Jetex hospitality.”

New Terminal Opening

The Jetex-iGA Terminal at Istanbul Airport, inaugurated in May 2026, offers premium services for both private jet users and commercial travellers by reservation.

Located at iGA Istanbul Airport, this 5,000-square-meter facility features luxurious suites, dedicated security/passport control, and a 40,000-square-meter hangar. Its architecture also draws inspiration from Istanbul’s iconic nazende çiçeği (slender flower).

The terminal features:

  • Natural stone, wood, and custom-crafted surfaces
  • Private suites with spa services
  • Dining spaces
  • En-suite bathrooms
  • Meeting rooms
  • Dedicated service teams

The terminal is positioned as a high-end facility, with pricing for departures approximately 950 euros per passenger, arrivals at 750 euros per passenger, and transit at 1,200 euros. The terminal is a collaborative project between Jetex and iGA Istanbul Airport, aimed at making the airport a major global hub for luxury travel.
