JetBlue, an American low-cost airline which operates services from its base in New York to destinations across the Americas and Europe, including London Heathrow (LHR), has announced it will be opening its first ever airport lounge at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

JetBlue Launches ‘BlueHouse’ at Terminal 5

JetBlue’s new lounge, named ‘BlueHouse’, will be opening at Terminal 5 of JFK Airport on 18 December. The new lounge is part of ‘JetForward’, a wider initiative across JetBlue which focuses on delivering a more premium and customer-oriented experience. The lounge has been designed with the local area in mind, with motifs that reflect the airline’s New York origins.

Marty St. George, President of JetBlue, said:

“BlueHouse helps make our flagship terminal feel more like home. It’s warm, comfortable, and elevated in a way that’s distinctly JetBlue, with the hospitality and thoughtful amenities our customers have been asking for. As our first lounge, it represents an exciting milestone in our JetForward journey as we focus on bringing affordable, premium experiences from the aircraft to the airport.”

Stephanie Evans Greene, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Brand at JetBlue, added:

“We wanted customers to feel like they’re stepping into a warm and stylish New York City apartment filled with character, where layers of JetBlue history and New York iconography can be discovered with every visit. Just as New Yorkers bring their own personality into a new space, we infused the space with JetBlue’s signature style to feel homey and comfortable when staying in our House.

More about the Lounge

BlueHouse will have a range of facilities to help customers unwind and prepare for their JetBlue journeys. The food and drink on offer is inspired by local flavours and provided by partnerships with Union Square Events and local providers Joe Coffee, The Greats of Craft and Please Don’t Tell.

The lounge also provides an ideal remote working environment, with high-speed Wi-Fi, ample power outlets, quiet rooms and open seating. There is also a game room for customers to pass time with board games as well as children’s toys to keep younger passengers occupied.

JetBlue is giving TrueBlue loyalty program customers more by making BlueHouse a signature benefit for its most loyal customers and premium travelers. Earlier this year, JetBlue introduced the JetBlue Premier World Elite Mastercard, the airline’s first premium credit card offering complimentary BlueHouse access, accelerated points earning and priority benefits.

Access to JetBlue’s lounges will be reserved primarily for Mosaic 4 members, transatlantic Mint customers and JetBlue Premier Card members. In February 2026, access to the lounge through purchasing passes will be available to Mosaic 1-3 members, JetBlue Plus and Business cardholders, non-transatlantic Mint customers and annual BlueHouse members.

Ed Pouthier, Vice President of Loyalty and Personalization at JetBlue, said:

“BlueHouse is one of the most significant enhancements we’ve ever made to our loyalty program. Our Mosaic members and Premier Card members already enjoy elevated benefits every time they fly, but BlueHouse introduces a new level of recognition for those who choose to fly us again and again.”
