Great Bay Airlines Expands Mainland Network with New Datong Route

Great Bay Airlines started a new service between Hong Kong and Datong, Shanxi Province.

The new route offers twice the service per week on every Tuesday and Saturday.

With the new haul added to the airline’s network, the airline is currently running service in eight destinations in Mainland China.

Datong is one of the nine ancient cities in China. It was also recognised by the State Council back in 1982 as a National Famous Historical and Cultural City.

There are various travel attractions across the city. In particular, Yungang Grottoes, an ancient Chinese Buddhist temple, were inscribed in the list of the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 2001.

In addition, there are numerous spots that might be of interest to travellers who are into cultural relics, such as Huayan Temple, Shanhua Temple, and Xuankong Temple.
