Frontier Airlines has announced two new routes launching later this summer, including its return to Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport (OAK) after a three-year absence. The expansion will connect Las Vegas with both Oakland and Boise as the low-cost carrier continues growing its network across North America.

Oakland service resumes
The airline will restart operations at OAK on Aug. 20 with direct flights to Las Vegas. The route will operate 11 times per week and marks Frontier’s first service to Oakland since 2023. To celebrate the launch, introductory fares are available from $49 one way.
Josh Flyr, vice president of Network and Operations Design at Frontier, said:
“We are delighted to announce these new routes and our return to OAK, offering high-value travel options to Nevada, Idaho, and California.”

New connection to Boise
A second route will launch on Sept. 10, 2026, linking Boise Airport in Idaho with Las Vegas. The service will operate four times per week with fares also starting from $49. The airline said the new connection is part of its strategy to provide affordable travel options in more markets across the United States.
The airline currently serves Boise from Denver, while Las Vegas remains one of its largest operating bases with connections to more than 30 destinations.

Continued growth
The new routes form part of the airline’s wider expansion under its “New Frontier” strategy.
Alongside network growth, Frontier has introduced new products, including UpFront Plus seating, and plans to launch First Class seating later in 2026. Benefits for members of the airline’s loyalty programme have also been expanded.
