Finnair has introduced a winter menu inspired by Nordic and Asian flavors, alongside a new meal pre-order feature for Business Class passengers on short-haul European flights. The changes, available now through January 28, 2025, aim to enhance the inflight dining experience as part of the airline’s broader commitment to customer satisfaction.
The winter menu includes regionally inspired dishes such as beef meatballs with mashed potatoes and lingonberries, and smoked salmon lasagna in a creamy spinach and tomato sauce. Business Class passengers can pre-select their meals up to 24 hours before departure using the “Manage My Booking” feature, providing greater convenience and personalized service.
Sami Oksava, Finnair’s Kitchen Development Chef said in a statement:
“We’re excited to launch a menu designed to bring warmth and Nordic flavors to our customers this season, the ability to pre-order meals will further elevate the Business Class experience.”
Revamped Menus Across All Cabins
In addition to short-haul services, Finnair has refreshed its long-haul Business Class menu, featuring seasonal Nordic appetizers like smoked whitefish and goat’s cheese tartlets, along with main courses such as slow-cooked beef entrecôte in blackberry sauce and pike-perch terrine in lobster sauce.
Premium Economy and Economy passengers will also see updated meal options tailored to flight durations, along with an expanded range of snacks and beverages. New additions include non-alcoholic beer, hot chocolate, and protein-rich snacks available for purchase.
Long-haul passengers departing from Helsinki can enjoy new snack items, including cold-smoked reindeer sandwiches and classic Finnish treats like Pågen cinnamon buns. Complimentary blueberry juice will remain available to all travelers, regardless of class.
Finnair’s Expanded Offerings Reflect Regional Flavors
Finnair continues to emphasize locally inspired cuisine in its onboard dining program, while incorporating global influences. For those traveling to ski destinations, special touches such as mint liqueur for hot chocolate are available. Passengers can also purchase travel essentials like toothbrush kits and playing cards on select flights.
