The FAA is investigating after a drone was spotted flying near the Las Vegas strip and McCarran Airport, in the flight path of tour helicoptors that were returning to the airport. The drone was reported by a Maverick helicoptor pilot, who reported it to the towerr to warn other pilots. The 1 mile area around McCarran is considered a no-fly zone. Drones have come under fire before in Nevada, as recently as this year , when a jet came dangerously close to a drone while on final approach to McCarran.
