Etihad Airways and Ethiopian Airlines have activated their codeshare partnership aiming to strengthen connectivity between Africa and Asia, Australia and the Middle East.

Simplifying Travelling With A Single Booking
Etihad and Ethiopian’s codeshare agreement aims to enhance global travel opportunities for travellers through making one single booking. Guests will have the added convenience of their baggage being transferred to their final destination to simplify journeys with connections. From July 15th Ethiopian Airlines start services from Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (ADD) to Abu Dhabi International Airport and Etihad Airways starting daily flights to ADD from October 8th. Guests have the opportunity to simplify their journeys with one ticket and one check-in process. This is the first step in the groundbreaking Joint Venture agreed by Etihad and Ethiopian in March of this year.
Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, Arik De hopes this partnership:
“will enhance flexibility, boosting trade and tourism, and delivering unparalleled travel experiences to guests of both airlines”

Etihad Airways Aim to Grow Global Network
Etihad passengers will gain access to Ethiopian Airlines’ extensive African network with connections via Addis Ababa to 55 destinations across 33 countries including Entebbe, Kigali, and Victoria Falls. This partnership comes as part of Etihad’s efforts to significantly increase its global network through introducing new destinations and increasing frequencies to strengthen links across the world. For Ethiopian Airlines passengers, they have the opportunity to book itineraries connecting to Etihad-operated flights via Abu Dhabi, unlocking services to Sydney, Krabi, Columbo, and many more across Australia, Asia, and the Middle East.

Etihad is taking big steps to strengthen connectivity across the globe and simplify travelling for all their guests. Will you be flying Etihad this summer?
