The renewed partnership between Emirates and Costa Cruises aims to overcome the transportation issues between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Dubai Harbour Cruise Terminal.

Increasing Passenger Experience and Connectivity

The renewed partnership will synchronise cruise and flight schedules as well as provide “cruise blocks” of flight capacity. Now passengers can expect a smoother journey with dedicated personnel support, assuring a service based on data. Combined marketing efforts will additionally concentrate on important markets throughout Emirates’ extensive network. With 12 Emirates check-in counters at Dubai Harbour and quicker visa procedures, Dubai is already ahead of the pack.

Details of Renewed Agreement

With this extended partnership between Costa Cruises and Emirates Airline, both parties will be strengthening a 20-year-old agreement to turn Dubai into one of the major winter cruise destinations. The partnership was announced on the 5th of March at the ITB Berlin Convention. The partnership integrates Emirates Airline’s global reach with Costa Cruise expertise for an exceptional travel experience.

The Deputy President and CCO of Emirates Airline, Adnan Kazım, have made a statement to support these claims by stating:

Costa Cruises commitment to Dubai stands as a testament to our shared vision of strengthening its position as the preeminent gateway for winter cruising. For Emirates, the cruise traveller segment offers immense growth potential, in addition to generating substantial multiplier effects for Dubai’s economy. We’ll be working closely with stakeholders across the tourism ecosystem, including Costa Cruises, to support fast-tracked enhancement of infrastructure that enables seamless access between Dubai’s entertainment venues and attractions and Dubai Harbour, with a view to continue to elevate the city’s appeal to discerning cruise guests.

Since 2006, Costa Cruises has resided in Dubai Harbour. Both parties are planning to expand into Southeast Asia, the Far East, and Central and South America as a part of a collaboration that goes beyond Dubai.
