British low-cost carrier easyJet has announced its first-ever ‘Advent(ure) Calendar’ filled with exciting travel treats – vouchers, flights, exclusive travel experiences, and more. easyJet is expecting travel to ramp up in 2022 and the calendar appeals to travellers who are hungry to finally take to the skies again.

The limited-edition ‘Advent(ure) Calendar’ features 12 drawers of festive travel gifts, including four pairs of return flights for two (with checked bags), a one-year easyJet Plus membership (valued at £215), onboard easyJet Bistro vouchers, GetYourGuide vouchers for tours and excursions, and car hire vouchers. All of the vouchers in the calendar can be redeemed from December 1 2021 to December 31 2022 and the calendar goes on sale from Friday, November 26 on easyJet.com.

The calendar, valued at over £1,500, is priced at £695. The proceeds of the sale of the calendars are being donated to Age UK Bedford.

Promising UK travel outlook for 2022

According to easyJet, the calendar follows new research that reveals British travellers’ intentions to get back to travelling in 2022. In this nationwide study, more than half (52%) of Brits listed planning trips and experiences abroad as a top priority. Additionally, half of the respondents indicated that they would rather receive the gift of travel over material gifts. With this in mind, easyJet is hoping to offer Brits the opportunity to make up for missed travelling as international travel ramps up and restrictions loosen.

“We know that our customers can’t wait to make up for lost time and enjoy the experiences they’ve been missing, and so we are delighted to have launched our very first ‘Advent(ure) Calendar’, to give the gift of travel to a loved one this December.” – Rachael Smith, Director of Proposition and Innovation at easyJet

The poll also suggests that Brits are eager to plan adventure travel in the coming months, as 64% of respondents said they plan to book an adventure holiday next year. easyJet has teamed up with GetYourGuide to include £75 worth of vouchers inside the calendar, offering adventure seekers the chance to book tours, excursions and experiences – including cooking classes in Greece, wine tasting in Italy, European waterspouts adventures, and much more.

  • GetYourGuide vouchers to spend on European tours and excursions valued at £75

  • A £50 car hire voucher

“In each calendar customers will find all kinds of travel gifts, from flights to a choice of over 130 destinations across our unrivalled European network to unforgettable experiences and excursions, as well as travel extras to make trips next year extra special. It’s the perfect present for those who want to give the gift of adventure.” – Rachael Smith, Director of Proposition and Innovation at easyJet

In addition to carbon emission offsets for all flights, the calendar is completely recyclable, with FSC, Green-e, and Great Seal certified paper and card. This is part of an ongoing effort from easyJet to support only Gold Standard or Verified Carbon Standard projects.
