Latvia’s flag carrier, airBaltic, debuts nine new flight routes for the upcoming 2026 summer season, which will run until late October 2026. The airline will relaunch several previously operated services while increasing frequencies on 30 existing routes across all three Baltic States and Finland.

Network expansion across the Baltics and beyond
Since March 29-30, airBaltic has established new connections between Riga (RIX) and Kaunas Airport (KUN) in Lithuania, Warsaw (WAW) in Poland, and Oulu (OUL) in Finland. The introduction of flights between Riga and Kaunas means that airBaltic will now operate from all three Lithuanian airports, further strengthening its presence in the Lithuanian market.
Latvia’s airline has also started to operate relaunched services between Riga and Belgrade (BEG) in Serbia. From Tallinn (TLL), destinations include Vienna (VIE) in Austria and Hamburg (HAM) in Germany, as well as the relaunch of flights to Oslo (OSL) in Norway.
Among the newly introduced flight routes, airBaltic will offer services from Riga to Antalya (AYT) in Turkey and Gothenburg (GOT) in Sweden.

Growth strategy and increased capacity
During the season, airBaltic will relaunch services from Riga to Belgrade, Yerevan (EVN) in Armenia, and Aberdeen (ABZ) in the U.K., and from Tallinn to Oslo. At the same time, the airline is increasing frequencies on several key routes, particularly from Riga, including Zurich (ZRH) in Switzerland, Munich (MUC) in Germany, and Berlin (BER) in Germany.
Overall, these enhancements will improve connectivity, provide greater flexibility for travellers, and strengthen transfer opportunities across the network.
Mantas Vrubliauskaus, airBaltic’s Vice President Network Management, said:
“The summer 2026 schedule reflects our continued focus on strengthening connectivity across the Baltic States, while responding to clear and growing demand for both business and leisure travel. By adding more than 430,000 additional seats across our network, we are further enhancing access to key destinations within Europe and beyond. We aim to provide our customers with greater flexibility, more convenient travel options, and seamless connections. At the same time, the expanded network supports inbound tourism, facilitates international business travel, and contributes to the long-term economic growth and global accessibility of the Baltic region.”
In total, during the summer season 2026, airBaltic will operate over 110 routes across all its bases, continuing its steady expansion and reinforcing its position as the leading airline in the Baltic region.
