beOnd (B4) and Air Cairo (SM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under which Air Cairo will operate beOnd-branded flights from summer 2027. The agreement was signed in Cairo on Oct. 22, 2026 and announced at World Travel Market (WTM) in London earlier this month.

What the partnership covers
Under the MoU, the flights will connect leisure destinations in Egypt with Europe and the Gulf. In terms of aircraft interiors, the assigned flights will use Airbus aircraft fitted with the beOnd cabin, where every seat is a lie-flat bed. Also, the aircraft will be offered for premium charter to luxury brands, private groups and tour partners. beOnd states that the routes and schedules will be announced in due course and bookings will be made available in the first half of 2027.

Remarks from the delegates
Each carrier brings its own expertise to the partnership. Air Cairo will provide the necessary facilities for a smooth operation, along with network planning and its experience of travel between these destinations, whereas beOnd will supplement this with the cabin and the onboard service it is known for. Tero Taskila, Chief Executive Officer of beOnd said:
“Egypt has some of the most remarkable places on earth, and many travellers who want to reach them in comfort. Air Cairo knows this market better than anyone. Together we can start the holiday from home, not at the hotel. Our cabin gives us the luxurious surroundings. Our people give us the experience. Both have to match the places we fly to.”
Speaking about the partnership, H.E. Sherif Fathy, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of the Arab Republic of Egypt said:
“Encouraging this partnership is an integral part of the Ministry’s strategy to promote Egypt’s unparalleled tourism diversity and expand its range of distinctive tourism products and experiences. We highly value the role of Air Cairo as one of the key supporters of the tourism industry, whose efforts contribute to enhancing connectivity, supporting tourism growth, and strengthening Egypt’s position as a leading global tourism destination. Such partnerships reflect our commitment to fostering closer cooperation with our partners in the aviation sector to achieve sustainable growth and further enhance the competitiveness of the Egyptian tourism destination.”
The companies have not yet said which Airbus type will be used, how many aircraft will carry the beOnd cabin, or which cities will be served. Further details are expected closer to launch.
