Aer Lingus’ major mobile update is making travel accessible.

Aer Lingus has improved the way users can react to their digital mobile app by investing multi-million euros to create an easily accessible and customer-rated app. Chief Customer Officer, Susanne Carberry, celebrates their investment in digital innovation and shares:

“From real-time updates to in-airport navigation, we’re committed to improving every touchpoint of our customers’ journey. These improvements reflect our ongoing investment in digital innovation and our belief that technology plays a central role in creating the best possible travel experience.”

New features have been introduced after customer feedback to enhance passenger experiences when using the mobile app, especially on the day of departure with the airline. In a recent survey taken by Aer Lingus and over 5,000 app users, 90% shared their satisfaction with improvements made.

Redesigned features for streamlined travel

Users can access modern and improved features in the mobile app, such as:

  • Live Flight Status: via ‘Live Activities’ tab, passengers will be able to access flight information in real-time directly on their lock-screens, meaning customers will have complete and total knowledge of any key information or updates to their travel
  • Wayfinding Support: Wayfinding support will be accessible for Dublin Airport and John F. Kennedy Airport in New York for travellers to find their way to key amenities and easy navigation to boarding gates.
  • Refurbed Interface: The main home screen for the mobile app has undergone a complete transformation for easy navigation and speedy access to important information for passengers.
  • My Trips section: An improved design of the My Trips section now features a major refurbishment, including a travel assistant and direct access to trip extras.

With this recent improvement in Aer Lingus’ digital innovation in their mobile app, users will be able to travel with even more ease than yesterday’s travel.
